From Djerba to the Sahara
Pickup from your hotel at 7:30 AM and departure from Djerba via the “Roman Causeway.” Photo stop at the salt lake “Sebkhet el Melah.” Continue to Ghomrassen and visit one of Tunisia’s most beautiful ksour, featuring dinosaur footprints and Jurassic fossil rock layers. Visit Ksar Haddada, which served as a filming location for scenes from the Star Wars saga. Lunch at a local restaurant. Drive to Chenini. Visit the Berber village accompanied by a local guide. Then, explore an authentic troglodyte home before immersing yourself in the heart of the Star Wars site at Sidi Driss. Photo stop at the Berber village of Toujane, perched in the mountains, offering impressive panoramic views. Return to Djerba via the Roman Causeway, then transfer to your accommodation.

Toujane
Toujane is a Berber village located 25 kilometers from Matmata and 38 kilometers from Médenine, in the governorate of Gabès, in southern Tunisia. Its population specializes in the production of woven carpets. “Klims” and “mergoums” are flat-woven carpets decorated with parallel stripes and Berber motifs.
